Propositions A&B

Vote "For"both propositions to ensure access to better healthcare in the Liberty Dayton region
SAMPLE BALLOT

Proposition A authorizes the 9-cent tax increase per $100 property valuation in the district.

Proposition B authorizes the sale of bonds to support the construction of and capital expenses for the two facilities.

You must vote “YES” for both propositions in order to approve the plans.

Liberty County Hospital District No. 1 Proposition A

The increase by the Liberty County Hospital District No. 1. of the maximum rate of annual taxes imposed for hospital purposes to a rate not to exceed 18 cents on each $100 valuation of all taxable property in the district.

Liberty County Hospital District No. 1 Proposition B

The issuance of general obligation bonds in the principal amount not to exceed $43,000,000 to pay for the purchase, construction, repair and renovation of buildings, the equipping of buildings for hospital purposes, including clinics, and to acquire and operate a mobile emergency medical service and for the costs of issuance of the bonds; and the levy of a tax against.

Community meetings set to discuss new hospital, clinic

The Liberty County Hospital District, together with area community leaders, have announced that four meetings will be held next week to discuss the proposal for a new 51,000-square-foot Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center, as well as a separate freestanding clinic just north of downtown Dayton.
